Do most programs send out formal rejection notices via the ERAS center? Can you assume that if you haven't received a rejection notice yet, that your application is still under review and consideration? Just wondering. Thanks.
 
Yes, and probably, they are waiting for the deans letter on 11/1, good luck!
 
I received one rejection letter already (prior to Dean's letter send-out) from Upenn within a week of uploading/submitting to ERAS. I'm guessing it has to do with my USMLE history not meeting a certain standard/requirement. At the same time, I've got two invites, so, who knows? Hope this has helped answer your question.
 
some places send rejection letters, some dont. so ... just because someone hasn't sent you anything could mean either that you're still considering you, or they already chucked it in the trash. basically, unless they've invited you, you're in the dark about your status. personally, i think if they're not planning on interviewing you, its courtesy to let you know ... however, apparently thats just too time consuming for some places. its annoying.
