I'm trying to refine my interview responses, and am wondering what other people have been saying. What were your responses to these questions:
1) So why medicine?
2) When did you know you wanted to be a physician?
3) What do you find unappealing about medicine?

Answer these for yourself! No one on here can answer these for you. I don't know if you should come up with prewritten responses anyway, it will be obvious. I think you'll be fine as long as you know yourself and know your reasons for entering medicine.

1) So why medicine?

Because it is a career where I can combine my love of helping people with my love of hurting people.

2) When did you know you wanted to be a physician?

When I discovered what the pay check would be like.

3) What do you find unappealing about medicine?

Dealing with sick people... make that just dealing with people at all.

hahaha, pretty funny for a pre-med.

1) So why medicine?

*Why not?

2) When did you know you wanted to be a physician?

*Its better than being a patient.

3) What do you find unappealing about medicine?

*white's not my color... i'll have to get a custom coat.

My poor attempt at being funny. Seriously, I think the responses to these questions were dealt with in some manner in your personal statement and secondary applications. I would review them. You can also try to think of some additional experiences that you've had since you've written those essay or that you were unable to include so that you can dovetail your interview into those topics. I think you are not gonna find much help on the board since the answers to these questions are quite personal-- it is very hard for them to be "used" by someone else. For further assistance you should sit down with your pre-med advisor or try some mock interviews at your school... or have your roommate or a good friend ask you these questions and try to answer them and get their feedback.

G'luck!

and if we've got a good answer, we're not going to tell until we're in 🙂 .... just kidding (kinda) 😛
