I know there have probably been threads on this before, but I am looking into scheduling all of my rotations and was wondering what the time frame for interview season was. I was going to schedule an out of town rotation for end of Jan-Feb. What is the chance that there are interviews still for EM programs through mid of Jan-Feb? When do we do the majority of interviews? I am going to take the 1st 2 weeks of Jan off for interviews.

Thanks for your help everyone.

In my experience, the bulk of all interviews are offered between December 1st and Jan 31st, with a few interview days being offered on either end of that time frame (late Nov or early Feb) for some programs.

If you apply early and are a decent applicant, you'll likely be able to schedule your interviews before the end of Jan, when your away rotation begins. Additionally, your away rotation may be humane and let you leave for a couple of days if you get an interview that can't be scheduled earlier, so long as you give them some heads up and check with them first.
