Interview Slots Filled?

I just called Northwestern regarding my application and they told me that all of their interview slots are filled and they cannot offer anymore interviews 😕 Is that a common occurrence?

Hi ZekeMD. It seems to me that overall pediatrics programs had a lot more applicants this year than in years past. A few of the emails I have received from programs have mentioned how they had received record numbers of applications this year. So, maybe interview slots filled up a little quicker this year than in the past? Just a thought 🙂
