Hello
I'm a fellow applying for jobs. After I interviewed at a medium sized hospital and gave references, they sent an email asking for a second interview.
What does this mean?
Does this mean one of the references might have said something not nice?
What should I expect?
They said in the email expect a full day interview which we had already with first interview
Thanks

It was 1 week after talking to references
You've been given correct information. Faculty and even many private jobs will almost always do a second interview, sometimes even a third. But, they should have made that clear during the first interview. If you'd gotten a bad reference, they wouldn't have asked to talk to you again in all probability.

Just my med school and then US credentials correct? Nothing from my experience overseas?
Thanks
One of my colleagues worked overseas between residency and fellowship and one of the hospitals that we are credentialled at had someone go to her place of residence overseas to ensure that she lived there. But I do not believe she had the same experience at the other two hospitals that we are credentialed at.
