Interview suit for guys

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I have always loved wearing Jerry Garcia ties and have received many complements when wearing them, including while on interviews. They are really fun ties with great colors, but yet very, very professional.

I'm sure these fashion forward pre-meds start their interview shopping by tracking down Prada diffusion wear and ultra-haute couture Japanese labels. And all the ones with a little trad in them swing by Brooks Brothers to get fit for Thom Browne black fleece .

Umm, again, if you think I think anyone should be wearing (or even want to, or be so privelidged as to be able to waste their money on) any of that to a med school interview, you didn't get my point. Where we can agree is that fit is of utmost importance and no matter how "acceptable" your colors and fabrics are, their fit will make the difference between looking mature and professional vs. thrown together.

thomas pink is garbage. $200 for a shirt and you don't even get mother-of-pearl buttons. what you're paying for is the label, and quite frankly, a label that most people haven't heard of/don't care about.

Depends who you ask. Most of my non-med friends have either heard of or shop at Thomas Pink.

Pink uses the same buttons for all their shirts. I'm actually fine with them. And personally I don't really care for mother of pearl buttons. To each their own...

What I love about Pink shirts is the fabric they use, the cut, and the designs. The shirt collars and cuffs are reinforced with extra fabric and the shirt itself is made a bit longer than your average shirt so that it doesn't become untucked very easily. It's these tiny details that makes a world of a difference to me. And most of their shirts around ~$140, not $200.

Plus, Pink makes awesome colored CLOTH cuff-links with a silver rim for $40. I usually match my cuff-links and with my ties. Gets me TONS of compliments on rotations!

LJ, I know EXACTLY what you're talking about bro. I've actually seen a few guys at the club with the "X" vent stitching still on!
