Interview Thank You Notes

I know it's generally recommended to send thank you notes to interviewers for MD admissions, but is it standard practice or appropriate to send brief thank you notes (email or otherwise) to the faculty you meet during MD/PhD interviews?

Definitely should send something although I think a thank you e-mail within 24 hours of the interview is fine.

It is appropriate although I would not call it something that you should definitely do. Ideally you made a good enough impression (and also came across as polite and mannered) that you don't need to remind people about yourself so quickly.

I had 5 interviewers at Hopkins so I just sent one to the MD/PhD program director. I felt like sending the same generic thank you to all my interviewers would be a little try-hard

I tried to include at least one unique sentence in each thank you note, and given that they usually never ran more than 3-4 sentences, meant they could sound pretty different.

It need be nothing fancy, just a brief mention of what you guys talked about and how much you enjoyed it (if you did).

Otherwise, it's not like your interviewers get together to compare notes and thank you emails or something. The only one likely to see all of them is you as the writer.
