honestly i thought the purpose of this thread originally was to just let everyone know when invites were out for particular schools. i was surprised when more than one person posted for any school; i thought it was redundant. Since i missed the opportunity and it was getting so busy and cluttered, i didn't bother going back. It shouldn't be a big deal; there's plenty of people who have interview invites that didn't pos there.

If it wasn't a big deal, why would you start a new thread? If your reasons for viewing the original thread were to see if interviews has started, there would be no need for this secondary thread. You would be able to see that fairly clearly.

no, i couldn't keep up with when new schools were added to the list. There were so many different branches and all of them weren't always updated with the same schools. I never could tell which one was the last most complete one.

Psycho, not to be rude, but you seem a little voyueristic. All the posts from you are: show me stats, show me interviews but you always pretend that you have terrible stats and no interviews.

You obviously are a smart guy who will be successful and get into some great schools so why do you act this way? Is it because you want to be surprised by the good news? AND NO...it is not true that theere are "so many different branches" in the original thread. so stop acting like a 10 year old and contribute to something you wanna benefit from. Numerous SDNers contributed to the original thread and all of them had no problem following what is going on. now that you started this thread, the interview for aug mcater information is more branched. i bet some aug mcater will put their info on this thread..and other on the original thread. and eventually, both thread will die because they're so confusing.

Numerous SDNers contributed to the original thread and all of them had no problem following what is going on. now that you started this thread, the interview for aug mcater information is more branched. i bet some aug mcater will put their info on this thread..and other on the original thread. and eventually, both thread will die because they're so confusing.

sheesh. sorry i view the threads the way i always did on other boards and the way everyone on other boards liked it...as threaded so you could see who is responding to whom. I assumed other people viewed it this way also since everyone i knew who poste don boards fought to have it this way. didn't realize all you people preferred it the other way. but ok i'll changed it to linear when i try to dechipher thru all these long branched threads.

Psycho, not to be rude, but you seem a little voyueristic. All the posts from you are: show me stats, show me interviews but you always pretend that you have terrible stats and no interviews.

You obviously are a smart guy who will be successful and get into some great schools so why do you act this way? Is it because you want to be surprised by the good news? It just seems odd to me thats all. Why dont you just relax a little bit man. I'm pulling for you but you are like the SDN king who pretends to have a 3.0 24 MCAT

well then buddy, you have me all wrong. I admitted the interviews i had and i've tried to calm other August MCATers down. Ever since i got my first invite i never complained about interviews. yes, I may have asked a question when someone got an invite from a school i applied to and have not heard from...but that is no different from anyone else.

and since getting my scores, i have never complained about either my MCAT or GPA (just my lack of research); I'm far from a super star in these areas but i have not been complaining.

there are different ways to view threads, Mr Perfect. I happen to prefer threaded view but apparently it doesn't work well for this kind of thread. Everything i said was true for utilizing the threaded view, so please don't make accusations of what you don't know anything about. thank you.

1. the purpose of the original interview thread is to inform aug mcater which school is offering interviews. if someone needs to talk/ask question, that person can do so via private messages.

2. it is important that SDNers contribute to the thread even though the same school has already been listed. for example, a school might send out interview batches twice a month. if people see a school already listed and decide not to put his or her own date down, this would never be deciphered. and YES..people care about your interview for this purpose. NO one gives a sheis about your own business

I don't understand your difficulty using this view. If you want to reply to someone, hit reply, if you just want to comment, then hit the little picture of the pen and paper.

As for figuring out who says what, most of the time, if a person wants to respond to a person individually, they will quote them. If they don't quote, then they usually say the person's name in the post. If they just post without identifying who they are talking to, then most likely they are just commenting on the general topic. Just read the threads from the top down, and I have faith that you can figure it out.

like if i wasn't on the board now, how would i even know this was in response to me without reading the whole thread? as i said in another post (i'm not checking what # it is) on another board when they asked for suggestions to improve it, the #1 request from every single poster was to have the tree (threaded) view. so i am far from the only one who prefers it.

I guess most of us are using the linear mode, which just sticks the messages up there in the order they're received. Easier when you just want to see everything and you don't necessarily feel the need to sort things out by who replied to whom. Eh...whatever floats your boat. I think threaded is more confusing, but what do I know? Whew.
