Hi,

Any ideas are really appreciated. I was just hoping someone could explain to me...

1. When are interviews? I want to travel this fall, but I can't make plans until I know for sure when I should be available to interview. I am hoping to attend a texas school, but I will probably also apply to a few private out of state.

2. Are you given multiple potential interview times by a school and you just choose the one that works for you, or are you given only one time?

3. Are interviews always conducted At the school, or do some school allow you to interview in your home state/city?

4. Am I dreaming, or is there also a secondary interview in some cases? Hmm.

Hey Sahmbo,
I can answer for the Texas TMDSAS schools.

TMDSAS schools start interviews in early August up to December and early January (UTSW, UTH). If you want to get your interviews done ASAP, apply as early as possible to get those earliest interview dates. I heard they invited people as early as July 7th last year.

For most schools, you're initially given a date and given the option to change it if you'd like, either online or by arranging a date with admissions by phone or email.

At the school only.

I've never heard of a second interview in Texas, except if you're applying MD/PhD at UT Southwestern. I did hear for AMCAS schools that when the adcom is split on you, they sometimes ask you back to interview again. But that's very rare.
