Hey everyone. I don't post much on here and I used to frequent this site alot more during the summer when I took my DAT's. Now I have an interview w/ OHSU on Tuesday, my first one.

I'm a bit nervous/anxious and don't really know what to expect. Can anyone give me some ideas on what types of questions are asked during these interviews? Anything helps! Thank you.

Click on that "Interviews" thing at the top.

I interviewed there recently and it was a pretty typical interview, only thing that caught me off guard was that they have you write an essay right off the bat (totally random topic-I think just to make sure you can write decently) and that there are very small interview groups. Then you have 1 clinical professor interview, one regular professor interview, an hour or so in their clinic, and then lunch with a student. Questions were typical open file- the clinical interview was totally easy and relaxed, and one with a professor was a lot more probing (she had a page of prepared questions she wrote). It felt like she was trying to find a chink in my armor, but I think that was just her personality. I wouldn't stress too much though I got the impression that if you get an interview that your chances are better than most places I went. Also parking is kind of stressful (empty double diamond spaces in the garage right next to the dental school are pretty full-so def arrive 15 min early so you don't risk being late)

Would you care to tell us what topic they asked you to write about and how long was your essay?

They asked you to write an essay on "Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?". I hope this helps.
Good Luck!
