Interview with Drexel??

For those who applied to drexel...

I e-submitted about a week ago and today I got an e-mail to register for an interview. It seems a bit early to me for them to be requesting interviews. Seems like the interview before the real interview haha. But anyways, does anyone know if this is the interview where they actually consider you for acceptance? I had to register on this doodle website and it was like a poll where you put your name and chose you time.

Following to when I registered, I recieved another e-mail about what to expect and the break down of what I will be doing throughout the 3 hour interview. (Tour of campus, visiting classrooms, one-on-one interview)

I am excited just wanted to know if anyone else is doing this or has any input for me with what to expect or something.

I am applying there too, just submitted yesterday do you mine telling your stats and what the date of the interview is?
 
Yes the interview is to consider you for acceptance. Every interview is for that consideration. PT programs arent going to waste time on interviewing people multiple times. They offered you an interview so they can start filling out their class for 2013-2014.

I don't remember exactly but it was around a 3.7 GPA and about a 3.8 Science GPA. I think I got a 298 total on the GRE which is not that good and had about 100+ hours both inpatient and outpatient clinics. Letters of Rec and Essay also are important too I believe.
 
Hi, did anyone who interviewed hear back from Drexel yet?
 
I received my acceptance packet in the mail this past Friday. Pretty excited about that because I was about to submit my deposit to Pitt, but now I won't have to. I interviewed at Drexel on 10/19, if that helps. Has anyone else heard back?
 
well that bums me out. I interviewed early sept and havent heard anything.
 
Just got accepted into Drexel! Did anyone who got accepted into the program receive any merit scholarships? I was hoping to get some sort of scholarship but can't tell if I did or not.

Congratulations! I just heard back this morning as well and didn't see anything about merit scholarships. They said we would receive a letter in the mail so I'm guessing maybe it will be included with that.

Congrats to you both! 👍 I received the merit scholarship stuff with the packet in the mail, nothing about it was online. I like that their deposit deadline isn't until April so that we can weigh all of our options.
 
Just got my packet. I received a nice merit scholarship . This makes it seem as though Drexel is one of the cheapest DPT programs out there. It says on their website that many DPT students receive 30-37.5K of merit scholarships. If tuition is around $90K then it gets down to $60K not including add'l expenses.

I received my acceptance packet a few weeks ago. These are my stats

Penn State University
Major: Kinesiology
GPA: 3.68
Pre-Req: 3.54
GRE: V:154, Q:153, W:5
Volunteer: 66 hours inpatient/outpatient rehab hospital, 70 hours Exercise Physiology Lab, 240 hours in progress at outpatient clinic
 
Hey guys! I was accepted into Drexel last week as well. I am pretty excited about it. But for those who haven't heard, I wouldn't stress because they said at the interview that they won't tell most people whether they got in or not until next year.
 
still waiting on drexel but it looks pretty bleak bc it seems that when a school wants you the package comes quick but if ur waitlisted or denied the status update takes forever. This is my second choice due to proximity from home. 🙁
 
I wouldn't stress. I interviewed on the last date (12/14/12) and they haven't sent out too many acceptances (according to the one admissions person).
 
I just got waitlisted at Drexel...does anyone know if they will be declining their offer? This waiting game is going to be the death of me...

How did you hear from them? E-mail or by letter in the mail?
 
letter in the mail...was in a small envelope so I knew it couldn't be good haha...guess I'll just have to patiently wait!!
 
i got it in an email a while back, if you haven't heard anything yet you can probably call the admissions office to get it or check your application
