I got an email from Duke for an interview  I was so excited, I cried...then I realized the letters are most likely not in and a quick visit to my LOR service webpage confirmed it. Isn't this a little unusual?
Anyone else have a similar experience?

Congratulations

Yeah, I did the same when Cornell emailed me, but I didn't apply to Duke so I can't help you out...

Hi DoctorKevin,

Are you saying that you got an interview from Cornell before your LOR's were sent out? Sorry, I couldn't tell from your message. 🙂

Thanks!
(from someone still waiting on his committee letter 😡 )

i got an interview offer from Ohio State before they'd recieved my letters. probably has to do with the fact that most schools don't read the letters until around the time you interview.
