Interview without OAT?

Hey guys,

I've submitted my OptomCAS application, but I won't be taking the OAT till November. Does that hurt my chances of getting an interview invite?

I've submitted my OptomCAS application, but I won't be taking the OAT till November. Does that hurt my chances of getting an interview invite?

I am in the same boat as you except I heard back from all of my schools who told me that they will not extend an interview without the OAT scores.

The Optometrist I shadow said that is how they did her cycle and she just graduated recently.

Not sure if that is across the board.

No. Depends on the school. I got invited without interviews. Other schools will put your application on hold if they like the rest of your file..

I meant I got invited without my OAT scores. Just let them know the date you're taking it.

I think it depends on your application. If you are very qualified they will invite you without OATs, however for other people they will wait until you take your OATs.
