Hey all

I just got an invitation to an interview for Ross. Is that a good sign?? What are my chances..

Also does any one have any suggestions on what they ask at the interviews, etc.

Thanks.

the usual interview questions. search for them and find them on your own. you shouldn't be depending on people to GIVE AWAY advice or knowledge. you should always try to do things on your own before asking for help. and when i say you, i mean YOU especially. going to Ross is a big move, and i'm hoping that you succeed because it shows me you're committed enough to resort to extreme measures. but things will be especially hard for you in medicine. you might not even get into medicine (many go to ross and quit months later). so what i'm saying is i want you to be more resilient and self-reliant. you're asking for very general information. you should have no trouble finding it on your own in books or on websites. good luck

To give a jump start (a bit harsh, A. Caveman, no?):

There is a great interview feedback website which lists the kinds of questions one encounters at a particular school, plus so, so much more.

Also, in general be prepared for (courtesy Eric Wilkinson, M.D.):

- The favorite -- Tell me about yourself.
- Where do you see yourself in 10 years? (often asked)
- What does your family think about this?
- What is the biggest problem facing medicine today?
- What are the disadvantages/downsides of a career in medicine, besides no time?
- What are you looking for in a medical school?
- What do you think about "insert current hot topic here"? (HMO, PPO, Doctor-assisted suicide, ethical/moral issues of cloning, other financial issues in health care delivery)
- What field of medicine are you interested in?
- What do you like to do that isn't science related?
- What will you do if you do not get accepted somewhere this year?
- What are your strengths/weaknesses?
- And, perhaps the most popular...
"Why do you want to be a doctor?"

hey,

I knew about InterviewFeedback.com.
and yes i know that some of those general q's may be asked. but so far neither interviewfeedback nor any individual hasnt posted any info on how a ross interview would be like.....that is why i'm curious.

Don't know anything but wanted to wish you Good Luck.
