To all of the potential pod students that are just starting to interview, I would encourage all of you to visit multiple schools before making a decision. I know that it is an exciting process and every program is going to put on a good show for interview day. However, you don't truly know how good a program is until you have something to compare it to. I'm not saying visit all 8 or anything but at least visit 2 or 3. This will greatly aid you in your decision. All programs are not equal!

But it's Des Moines!

I just sent out my applications last night. When (and if, of course) do you guys think I'll maybe start getting interviews?
Also, can someone PLEASE fill me in on what kind of program Barry U. has...good/bad/great/terrible. I just want a heads-up from someone who knows a little better than I do.
THANKS🙂

After I submitted my application, Barry emailed me the next day requesting an interview. I figure it was an autoresponse thing. Then two days later I started getting calls from the other schools. So if you have good scores and grades you should get calls right away. I haven't heard anything about Barry other than questionable things. I'll have to wait to see if I want to interview there also.

you're right. i sent out the app last night and today Barry emailed me for an interview. I'm really excited and thought its probably an autoreposne like you said, I still think its a good way to get your foot in the door, in a way.
so define "questionable things" about Barry...

I interviewed at Barry University and just received my acceptance letter! the school seemed to be moving in the right direction, especially with the new building being built this year. everyone there were very nice and had no problem with answering any of the questions that I had. One thing I loved about Barry was their committment to community service...you might not be into that but the school seems to be pretty involved with overseas stuff. so yea...it was a good experience overall.
