Has anyone recently interviewed here?

I checked the feedback section, not too bad over there, but I am looking for a more personal view. How was the setting? low key? Conversational like VCU? Do they ask tough questions? Anything would be nice, because I haven't found much.

Here is a list of questions from an interview someone had at stonybrook. They were posted on a thread not to long ago, but I can't seem to find it.

Those questions are the ones from the feedback section.

Hey guys!

I'm a second year at SB now. I should hope that you find things quite relaxed. The school is TRULY trying to see if you are a good fit here, and we want you to see if you think you'll fit with us. I have never heard a single story about anything high pressure.

SB wants you to feel welcome - at 12, a few second year students (frequently me) will eat lunch with you, behind closed doors so that you can ask "off the record" questions. Then a tour, so you can see and ask more. In regards to the interviewers, we even have some medical students and residents doing interviews.

Good luck at SB (and everywhere else you go). It's a great place to be.

I interviewed at Stony Brook last week (keep meaning to post up some interview feedback but haven't gotten around to it yet). It was very relaxed, you interview with two people, and each of my interviews were only about 20 minutes long. We pretty much just covered stuff that was on my application - my major, extracuricculars, etc. We also talked about stuff that I mentioned in my secondary essays (the healthcare one and the most influential experience one). The hardest question I got was when my second interviewer asked me what textbook we had used in my biochem class (he was the biochem professor) - I could not remember the author's name, so I described what it looked like  😳

Like bigdan said, you'll eat lunch with the other interviewees and some current med students (they had wraps - I had a turkey one, chips, yogurt, soda, and water when I was there), then you'll go on a tour. It was very low-key, don't stress out about it.

Was it the dark green one? I also forget the author of mine.

Nope, it had a white cover and blue spine, with a protein molecule on the front
