So snooping through previous years’ SDN threads, it seems like Stony Brook generally gives little to no aid. However, I believe I should qualify for at least some need-based aid as both of my parents make around $30,000 a year and they’re divorced. I was just wondering if there’s anybody out there that got “up to a full waiver of tuition” from the Disadvantaged Student grant or if anyone is willing to share how much they received if it wasn’t the full waiver. Thank you!

Necro-posting on my own forum but I got my award letter today and it covers approximately 30% of my tuition (not including supplies, transportation, and housing). I'd consider myself pretty poor (mom makes $28k for a family of 5) so I'm not sure what else I needed to qualify for a waiver of full tuition or if they even give those out in the first place.
