is anyone interviewing at uhs on nov.20? just wanted to see who is and see how youre planning your trip. Lets talk! also for anyone who has already interviewed, how did u like the school and what was the interview like?

Hey Osteo EMT,

I interviewed at UHS 10/6..It was a great experience, very low key time. Do not sweat about the interview they just want to see what your personality is like and if you fit in with their school.
When I was interviewed they told me that my credentials were good and that they just wanted to get to know me as a person. They didn't ask anything about my grades, experiences, MCAT, etc..Most of the questions were get to know you ...strengths/weaknesses,how do you handle stress, Why D.O, how do you like Kansas City, etc... I did have several challenging ethical questions and several questions regarding the future of healthcare but they weren't too bad. I actually had a good time asking them a lot of questions at the end of the interview.
Make sure you read the interview experiences in the interview feedback section of SDN...as you'll see they are all very positive
I really enjoyed the whole day...our UHS student ambassadors were realy cool they all love the school.
I have been very impressed by UHS and I am probably going to there next year
As far as a cool place to stay ...My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Westport it was nice and not very expensive. I would recommend taking the UHS shuttle to the school it's a good way to meet other people interviewing.

If you have any other questions let me know...

I'll be interviewing on the 18th and staying at the Holiday Inn express. I'll be car pooling with some friends of the family who are going to KC on the same day.

I am also interviewing at UHS on 11/20. I've made reservations at the Holiday Inn express but I also told UHS that I am interested in staying with a med student. I'm just worried that I won't have a way to get to the the school if I stayed at someone's house since the letter said you have to provide your own transportation. Hope to see you there!

How exciting that you're all getting the chance to come visit UHS for an interview! I think you'll be very impressed and truly enjoy your experience.

I'm a second year at UHS, so definitely ask any questions that you may have. I'd be happy to give you some insight before your interview.

Just remember that it is very laid back. You've passed the numbers game and the interviewers want to see if you're a good fit for our school and they want to empower you with all the knowledge they can about the school. They even begin helping you to make the transition to medical school.

Anyway, let me know what you'd like to know about. I'm working hard to procrastinate on my studying so I'm sure I'll stop in often. Haha
