I think I'm going to get an offer from my second choice program about a week before my scheduled interview with my first choice program. It's a wonderful problem to have, but I'm not sure what to do about it.
How would you handle this situation? Is it ok to ask for a week to consider an offer (and get the other interview done in the meantime) or am I being an idiot and ought to just be thankful for a "bird in the hand" and immediately take the first offer I get?
