Interviewing while it is raining

I was at wvsom last week and it started raining pretty good while we were out on the tour. They were nice enough to give us umbrellas before we headed out so it wasnt too bad. Umbrellas arent big, so if you think it might rain pack it along.
For heavens sakes, if it's raining, bring an umbrella. Even a raincoat. no one will really care, and frankly i think they would think you a fair bit smarter than someone who would go out in the rain with neither of those things.

haha omg what if you have to poop?
There is a place to put your coat and umbrella at Kville. The interviewees today had rain gear.

It is ALWAYS raining in Ktown it seems so do bring an umbrella. You will be walking around outside to go to the anatomy lab building. Also, bring an overcoat if it looks like it is going to be cold, suit jackets are not exactly thermal!
Thanks for the NICE info you two. . . .I didn't know if it would be arkward if I arrived with rain gear, especially if I had no place to put it when I went into the interview. I can't wait to be there on Thursday! =)
Is this thread a joke? Use your brain, son. You don't need to get online to seek advice about whether or not you should bring an umbrella to your interview. Good lord.

^^^my girlfriend saw this thread last night and she was like "ummm wow im glad someones future doctor is asking if they need to bring an umbrella if it is raining"
thanks for making someone feel stupid....I feel sorry for your future patients when they ask you a question.

I can see where you are coming from... The entire interview process is very nerve wracking. We just want EVERYTHING to be perfect. Although it may seem like a stupid question to some, it's no different than the doezens of members on this forum asking what to wear to an interview ("ummmm .wow im glad someones future doctor doesn't know how to dress themself") or if you should bring a portfolio/suitcase/notebook to take notes ("ummmm wow im glad someones future doctor can't comprehend that if they feel like taking notes they need pen and paper").
.
Anyway, I say bring an umbrella. I brought one to mine, but left it in my car cause it turned out to be a sunny day 🙂

If I had a patient ask me about whether they should use an umbrella when it was raining I would probably be evaluating them for an altered mental status.

So I have my interview in Kirksville next week, and so far, the preliminary weather report is calling for a 40% chance of rain. Have any of you went to your interviews while it is raining? Did you bring any rain gear like an umbrella??
ok. lets start from the beginning. he wasnt asking if he should use an umbrella if it was raining....read his question, that wasnt it. next, he was asking about bringing rain gear or an umbrella. as someone already said, the interview process is a nerve wracking one....people worry about what we should or shouldnt wear, blah blah blah. as the OP also said, he wasnt sure about showing up with rain gear and then having to worry about where to stash it, thus the friendly shout out asking if anyone (especially those who have gone to kville) have had this experience. i'm sure he was hoping to have someone with that experience there tell him, "hey, dont worry about packing extra stuff, there at kville they will give you umbrellas if its raining." thus he could scratch an extra item off the list.If I had a patient ask me about whether they should use an umbrella when it was raining I would probably be evaluating them for an altered mental status.
so lighten up.

Oh my gosh, you hit the nail right on the head. . .thanks for actually taking the time to read what I wrote!
It sucks stressing out over even the littlest of things, but I think this is going to be my only shot at getting accepted this year, so I want things to be as perfect as they can go!
Alright, well I apologize OP to jump all over you like that. Ive been through plentyyyy of interviews so I know it can be scary, and you just want everything to go right. I feel like by micromanaging everyyyyyything you are setting yourself up for failure. Just use your brain man! You obviously have one if you are interviewing at med schools. Just go be yourself...and use an umbrella if need be.
and above....I actually did once poop at an interview....still got accepted to that school....even after pooping. lol

Einstein couldn't do simple arithmetics, does that make him stupid? You can rest assured that your girlfriend has a very simple one way mind. She must be very hot.
She is pretty hot...and an M3...but nice try haha
