hey guys, i just got back from the case interview and realized how expensive it is to travel to interviews, stay in a hotel, transportation, food, and other misc. expenses. maan, and this is only my 2nd interview! i have 2 more lined up in september that i have to fly too (temple and UMB) and one in october that i can drive too (nova). the only thing is that i really dont feel like going to UMB, cuz i dont know anybody there and would have to stay in a hotel and end up spending a few hundred dollars between hotel and plane ticket. plus my temple interview is on friday september 24th while the UMB one is on tuesday september 28th. so what do i do, come back here to tampa or just fly straight from temple to UMB? it just sucks that i have to miss soo much school. ekh, this sucks

Last year for my hotels, I used priceline and saved a bundle. You'd be surprised at how much you can save..although the overall process will still be costly. Good luck!

do tell us about your case interview!

Hey Omar....I totally understand what you are going through. If you want, you can crash at my place near Temple, and we can work something out. You can use my kitchen to save mony on food, i can pick you up from the airport and I can drive you to the school in the morning for your interview since ill be going to class anyways...

You might want to consider just going from Temple to UMB. I have checked on ticket prices in similar situations and you can sometimes save money, depending on hotel costs. I'd check the pricing for a multiple stop ticket and also get pricing for 3 one-way tickets. I know for example that a flight that I priced, that included multiple stops, was around $1200. That same route with one-way tickets was around $780. You'll just have to try some different combinations to find the cheapest. Hope that helps and good luck.

Not to mention that Baltimore is pretty close to Philly... You can hop on a bus or train or even rent a car, and it will get you there inside of two hours.

If one can arrange interviews at Temple and UMB within a day or two of each other, one can fly into Philly, interview at Temple, get down to Baltimore for the interview there and then back in the same day, then fly out of Philly. Might work..
