How early do DO schools interview? It seems like there are quite a few interviews still taking place in April and May. Also, do many students get accepted before the end of the first year of the application cycle? From what I can assess, not many students get in before December.

I think some schools begin interviewing in August. If you get everything done, you can be accepted in September. My first acceptance came in August.

Awesome. Thanks for the information. Did you apply ED though or regular admission. Also, if you don't mind, what were your stats?

I applied normally and began interviewing the first week of October (if my schedule permitted I could have started this earlier) and began getting acceptances the following week. Most of the schools start accepting as soon as they start interviewing. They let you know after their committee meets and makes a decision.

I think TCOM starts really early because they participate in Texas Med school applications. Their regular application deadline is in october. All the others are in dec-april.

I interviewed at LECOM the week of thanksgiving. I had my acceptance letter 2 week later. They interview starting Sept and go through April. The sooner you get your application in the system the sooner you will interview.

Thanks for the advice. I'm guessing the timeline is similar to MD schools. I plan to get my AACOMAS out in early to mid June. I'm just fine tweaking my personal statement.
