Interviews from Columbia from deadline applicants?

Hi lovely people. Just curious if anyone who applied to Columbia on their deadline (or near it) has heard back regarding an interview. I'm planning an east coast trip soon and would very much like to knock out three birds with one jetblue stone...

-- unfortunately, none of the discount airlines make use of my metro airport, so I can't kill the birds so cheaply.

I was complete at Columbia sometime in the last week of December, and I was invited to interview recently. I would email Columbia and inform them that you will be in the area between such and such dates. Schools will often accommodate you as best they can.

I submitted my secondary on the last possible day. I received a snail mail invite in mid-Dec interviewed on 1/6.

I just called them telling them my situation and the woman checked on my file and told me to email them my travel plans as they haven't decided on me yet. If I'm lucky to get a positive decision, do you know if they interview on Wednesdays or Tuesdays? That would be perfect since I'll be at Cornell Thursday...

They selected the date for me - a Thursday - but I got the impression that they interview 4-5 days/week...GOOD LUCK!
