Interviews PGY-1 2006

Has anyone received invitations for preliminar year interviews? I was following the thread for IM and Surgery but those are for categorical.

When should we receive invitations for PGY-1 interviews?

Welcome to the forum! Interviews do not come until later for PGY-1. These will occur usually at its peak in Nov-Jan.

Interviews so far:
St Lukes- WI- Ty
York -Penn - TY
Mercy- Pittsburgh -TY
UPMC Shadyside - Pittsburgh -TY
Western Penn - Pittsburgh - Ty

so far, i've received a handful (5) prelim interviews--all either medicine or transitional. I assume it's very variable between programs when they start sending out invitations. Some programs like UCLA-Harbor trans. don't even require that you come out for the interview and you can still rank them if you receive their e-mail!

Mutis there is a thread under general residency issues called "Prelim/ transition year invites???" which list where people are getting interviews.

Beth Israel - Medicine
St. Luke's-Roosevelt - Medicine
Mount Sinai - Surgery

But don't worry, bro... a lot of these prelim programs probably interview relatively late.
