Interviews, when to expect them.

I applied 7/18 /15 to 34 Gen Surg programs and 35 IM all AOA. I got 1 Surgery interview invite and 1 IM invite so far. I maxed out on Surgery AOA programs because some don't invite applicants without an audition rotation. I don't plan to apply to allopathic programs. I have 8 Surgery audition rotations, 3 are 2 weekers, 1 SICU for 2 weeks and 3 that are a month each, most of which are coming up. I am on my first Surgery rotation. My first choice is Surgery and IM is my backup. Tonight I applied to 21 AOA IM programs. Should I be worried and apply to more IM programs? When do I expect most interviews to come? Do I wait a month from submission and inquire from each program? Can I expect most interview invites 1 month after submission of application? I will appreciate any advise.

When did applications open up? I didn't apply AOA so I honestly don't know the answer.

Either way, I noticed that some programs I applied to last year were extremely quick to offer up interviews, others came weeks later, every program has it's own timeline. I wouldn't get too stressed until you have classmates who have received multiple invites, and you have not. I'll bet most programs haven't really begun inviting interviewees yet though.

I've only received one interview so far from a program west of Kansas.
So a follow up question: how screwed will one be for intern year if they only did 2-3 months of surgery/auditions during 4th year?
