Interviews

Which medical schools give out interviews quick? Quick as in they email you by the end of July

Depends on what your stats are. Some schools might send out interview invites by the end of July if you're a strong applicant, but even that's rare. Almost zero schools fill all their slots for interviews by the end of July.

Most applicants are likely just going to have to wait to see if they get an interview.

This might be a silly question, but are there stats on how many interviews matriculants tend to get? Wondering because I work and it's hard to take off so kinda wanna have an idea. So far, I have 1 and applied to mainly "target" schools

I think a ratio may be more helpful, specifically interviews to number of schools applied to, as soon students may apply to 5 schools, so they get >50% success for interviews, whereas others may apply to 60. So that data doesn’t really tell us too much unfortunately
You should consider yourself rejected until you get the accept email in y our Inbox, and always be working on your Plan B, instead of obsessing about who is getting what and when.

Lol, i wouldn’t worry too much about the data. It looks depressing but if your invite SDN your prob like 2 std above median lol

Mostly just curious how there are people with acceptances without interviewing... I know Carle Illinois doesn’t do interviews, but who else gives out acceptances without interviews? I just wanted to jump on that...

Actually I would prefer the opposite. I’m a better interviewer than I am on paper. Looking for schools that don’t require a primary or secondary, but will interview me lol

exactly, why is that surprising?
Isn’t the point of being a doctor patient care...? With the exception of physician scientist...but are many people admitted to schools where the school knows the student doesn’t intend on patient care?
