Guys,

I need for those of you who have already been accepted or for those of you who know about the admissions process to help me out. Is it true that unless you completely bomb your interview, your chances of acceptance are fairly good? I just dont know where I stand with schools that are giving me interviews, should I be optimistic, or does getting an interview not mean much yet?

All opinions would be greatly appreciated!!

The earlier you get your interviews, the better your chance of getting in. If you're getting them this late in the game, your chances are not so high.

generally, yes, if you don't "bomb" your interview, you have a good shot. That said, you should still prepare for them.

ok, well thanks for being honest

Hey there,
No I wouldn't say that bombing your interview is the only way to lose your spot. Some schools interview many applicants and accept a certain number. Some acceptees will decline the offer and attend a different school so that spot is offered to the next person in line. For example BU interviews many applicants and offers many acceptances but they only have so many seats. Some schools interview over 300 and have 88 spots and some schools interview over 500 and have 130 spots. For example BU interviews many applicants and offers many acceptances but they only have so many seats. It depends on the school but you may call them and ask them the numbers from previous cycles. What happens after the interview is that you are re-reviewed and looked at again. A bad interview could break you, but other factors like a poor DAT score could also be the main reason of your rejection EVEN if they offered you an interview. But overall, getting an interview is definitely something to be optimistic about. You are considered as a top applicant according to their standards. You should be very proud. Good luck

mrbenny is right! also keep in mind that most interviewers just want to make sure you're not weird. so, u should be quite optimistic getting an interv.

I'm not so sure. I interviewed early in the cycle at 4 schools and have only been accepted at 2, and while i'm probably not the absolute best under these circumstances, i certainly don't feel that I totally "bombed" any of them. If anything I feel like I did better at one of the schools i haven't gotten into than at one of the ones I did. just my experience, you never can tell with schools.

yeah, I see what you guys are saying.

thanks for the encouragement, I guess its out of my hands now 😳
