To those who have completed the Irish schools admissions process, I was just wondering if there were any interviews? I know of other international schools do phone or group ones in large cities.

Thanks so much

To My Knowledge RCSI is the only Irish school that conducts interviews with potential foreign students (North Americans at least).

Trinity, UCD, and UCC don't do interviews, but RCSI does.

I'll be applying to these first 3 schools (TCD, UCD, UCC) this year (from Canada), and consider the lack of interview to be a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, if you have strong academics, you won't be given the chance to "screw it up" on the interview. Of course, on the other hand, you don't really have the same opportunity to impress the admissions committee with your dedication/interest. Sure, they let you write a 2 page essay, but it's hardly a substitute for a face-to-face interview.

The interview for RCSI is pretty simple. So no worries for that 🙂 Good luck. Just remember, as in any interview, just be yourself!

Thanks everyone for the replies, I appreciate it!
