hey everyone, i have a question about some statistics. on med school websites they often say how many students apply initially, how many of those get secondaries, how many of those get interviewed, and then the total number that matriculate. however, they never say how many are accepted. so, using acceptance rates from usnews, i tried to figure out what percentage of those interviewed got accepted. at UCSF i found that about 50% of those interviewed were accepted, while at Harvard it was more like 30%. does anyone know anything about this? and, when they say like 560 were interviewed, do they mean that 560 were actually interviewed, or that 560 were invited to interview but some declined, or that maybe 700 were invited and 560 were actually interviewed? if anyone knows any of the details here that would be great. thanks.
