Would i be better off taking upper level bios (already have to take A&P 1 and 2) rather than intro bio 2?

An advisor didn't even mention intro bio 2 in approving my 4 year plan; is this a true pre-req? And if not, would say cell bio or genetics benefit me more on the MCAT?

edit: fail title spelling. study brain

lol

I believe you just need 2 semesters of each type of course (bio/chem/physics/orgo) and taking upper levels, provided they are Bio-y, can still count.

Just make sure you are confident about the material in Bio 2 as that will probably make a big appearance on the MCAT.

Haha this made me laugh a little

At least at my school, intro bio 2 is a course all pre-meds need to take. Not sure if that's the case at your school. I believe alot of med schools also require you to take intro bio 2, however. And it will also be on the MCAT so it might be in your best interest to go ahead and take it.

thank you guys. wasn't sure if it was tested or not. looks like i need to wedge that in somewhere then.
