Hi Everyone,

If this is the wrong forum for this thread, I apologize. I feel comfortable writing on this forum because I've interacted with several of you in the past and have been given sound advice. I sincerely appreciate your time and help.

I found out today in a school email that all students who graduate my program (SMP) and earn a 25 on the MCAT or its equivalent on the new MCAT are guaranteed an interview for admissions into St. George's, University of London medical school. U.S. students do years 1 and 2 at St. George's, London followed by years 3 and 4 at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.

I will 100% go DO if I'm accepted in the states. But what do you think you would do if it came down to this program and say podiatry school, NP, PA, or just moving on with life? Would you compare this program to the Caribbean?

If your ultimate goal is to practice on American soil, then it is best to do it on American soil. For the vast majority of international schools you will attend outside the US, your matching potential back here will plummet. So I don't think it is a good idea to attend (unless some people have very unique insights to this London program).

Hey islandStyle808. Thanks for the reply. I saw you at Ala Moana but you acted like you didn't know me, whatever.

It looks like a solid program. I'll have to do more research.

My friend this is just the Caribbean med schools repackaging their product in a different container . Don't do it unless you would like to practice in London, then by all , means go for it

LOL (not doing a good job keeping myself anonymous on this forum). Yeah I had people tell me that a few times. Sometimes I am spacing out and other times I know the person, but worried about making myself look the fool if I am wrong. Usually its the former and I am thinking about something while walking.

LOL Had a feeling you were. Amazingly enough I had a couple of acquaintances say the same thing to me before.

EDIT: Yeah we would be hitting up some Karaoke bars right about now.
