Intro to Animal Sciences online?

I just saw the thread on online Animal Nutrition courses, and I was wondering if anyone has any information on Intro to Animal Sciences courses online. UF requires both, and my school has neither.

When I spoke to UF Admissions about this last year, they gave me the following info about which universities offer equivalent Animal Science...

Oklahoma State:

Purdue has a 3 credit hour one, but I don't know if you can just take that one class. From the site, it looks like you can.

They do it for fall and spring semester.

Missouri might have one, I took another animal science course (animal breeding) online there.

Thanks for the info! Oklahoma State seems like a good option because they offer Animal Nutrition, too, and I think that would just be easier.
I've seen that Purdue one before, but I'm unsure because the site looks like it's for Purdue students specifically, and not just anyone...

DH took the Purdue one, and that was the only class he ever took from there. He liked it a lot, it was very flexible and he learned a lot.

I'm enrolled in the Intro Course right now....only b/c UF wanted it. I was trying to get ahead in case I got in and didn't have to do it over the summer. It was expensive: $738.00 (books, tuition). But it's VERY conveinent. This is the 2nd correspondance course I have taken with them and I'd do it again from them.

I took the Purdue course, and I liked it. You don't have to be a Purdue student to take it. I think I paid around $800 for it (not including book), and it can easily be completed in 3-4 months. The professor is really easy to contact via email with questions, and I thought the material was appropriate difficulty-wise, but mainly focuses on LA. I have taken biochem, though, which probably made it a little easier, but those who haven't taken biochem could do just as well.

Can the OK State one be completed in the same time frame (3-4 months)? I'd rather take it over a summer, since I would have more time.
