Ok so I'm looking through my catalog and I see that there is principles of Biochem and intro to biochem, I think you know where I'm going with this which one should I take, I have the description for both
Intro to Biochem
The structures and functions of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids and their reactions in metabolic pathways. Restricted to Nutrition majors. (Students can not earn credit in BCHM 251 and BCHM/BIOL 261 or BCHM 361)
Principles of Biochem
The structures and functions of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids and their reactions in metabolic pathways. (Students cannot earn credit in both BCHM 261 and 361).
Prerequisites
Prerequisite: Chem 103 or CHEM 247
Oh wait I just found one simply called Biochemistry
Biochemistry
The structure and function of the major chemical components of biological systems are described. The major topics include water, buffers and pH; proteins; enzymes; carbohydrates; lipids; and vitamins. Fall Prerequisites
Prerequisite: CHEM 247
Is this slightly confusing or is it just me? Obviously intro is probably easier so if they have the same description shouldn't I just take intro? I hate when these kinds of things happen, cause then you have to call the school blah blah blah LOL!
