Well, i liked PS with no indroduction because I am starting telling some story then go on to telling how this story applies to my reasoning of becoming a doctor. I feel that is more non-traditional.

The second way is more traditional since I am starting my reason for becoming a doctor and then explaining it by a personal story. So which one, traditional or non-traditional?

1)
- A Story
- Why I want to be a doctor? Reason #1- most important
- Reason #2
- Reason #3

2)
- Intro: Reason why I want to be a doctor#1- most important
- A Story
- Reason #2
- Reason #3

#1 is more interesting than #2 because it's more natural to explain why you want to be a dcotor you've said an anecdote than the other way around.

I also prefer #1. Telling a story grabs your readers attention and you start off with your unique experience....

Both methods will work, although I agree that starting with a story makes it more engaging. That being said, it'll make it more difficult to write. Keep in mind that there should be unity among your reasons. Starting with a story helps in that you can tie your reasons back to it to make your PS flow better.

OP: I'm guessing you're a non-native English speaker? Make sure to get some good editors to help you out when you're done.

Agree with other posters as far as starting out with a story to capture interest and then elaborating as you go on.
