TPRH Bio Question Any help is appreciated!
Question:
Linking ATP hydrolysis to Na+ and K+ transport affects ion transport in which of the following ways?
A) The equilibrium and ΔG for Na+ and K+ transport are altered.
B) The equilibrium for Na+ and K+ transport are not affected, but ΔG is made negative.
C) The equilibrium for Na+ and K+ transport are altered, but ΔG remains unchanged.
D) Neither the equilibrium nor ΔG for Na+ and K+ transport are altered.
Answer is A. Can someone explain why B is false?
How is equilibrium changing? Shouldn't the equilibrium always be unchanging?
