IOWA instate update?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Since you haven't got any responses, I can tell you what I know as an OOS applicant. Ms. Brown told me that all OOS spots have been filled after today's acceptances and that if you were accepted they would update ISIS (She didn't specify a time). Mine is still "In progress." She also said to check back in Mid-January for more acceptances once people make their decisions. I'm not sure about in-state though in terms of the number of seats still avaliable. Sorry I couldn't help more. Good luck to you.

Yeah, nothing here either. When I talked to her in person she said yesterday we could know then the next day is in January but I forgot what exact day.

Looking at your Profile on predents zgoettsc, it looks like your DAT score is about 5 points too high. Try to get it down to the 17-18 range and you should be good to go. Iowa doesn't like 90 plus percentile DAT scores. Iowa prefers high GPA's (typically from easy schools), and lower DATs, which typically show that the students there are ******ed. Good luck

Basically if you haven't heard back anything you are probably not getting in unless someone declines their Iowa in-state spot, which doesn't typically happen. They will probably meet again at the end of January to let two students in. People go to Iowa in-state because it is a cheaper option, not a better one. They look for people with the same moral characteristics of their dumpy football team for their dental program, so my recommendation is to start pulling out the bong and getting "in" with DJ Koulianos of the football team. He knows how to thrive at Iowa.

I got accepted December first, the best way to go. Here are my stats:
3.96 GPA, 3.8 Science
17,18,17 DAT
Preferred Admit all the Way baby yeehah!
