Hey everyone,

I need to choose between these two schools. I like both of the programs, but I am having a very hard time actually deciding which one to go with. Anybody out there have any insight or opinions? (College football aside... I would be happy being a hawkeye or a buckeye) Thanks!

I've never been to Ohio State's campus, but have done my undergrad at U Iowa, and will be attending dental school there this coming fall. I'm not sure if you care about the atmosphere but, Iowa City is a pretty fun place. The East side of the river is filled with undergrads and is a pretty noisy place most nights of the week (depending on where you live) but is pretty fun on the weekends. The west side of the river (on which the dental school is on) is completely different, most of the students over there are grad students and it is very peaceful and quiet for the most part (with the exception of game days since the football stadium is also on the east side of the river).

As far as the school goes, I have made quite a few visits there, and the dentist I shadow practices out of the dental school building. From my experiences the people there are incredibly nice. The head of admissions might be the nicest person I ever encountered in a school setting haha and she is extremely helpful, so I can only imagine that this is the case for the majority in the program. I'm not sure if any of this helps but thought I'd chime in with a little information for you.
