I'd be paying in-state tuition at Iowa.

I like EVMS because I like the beach. I know it's immature, Iowa is a much higher ranked school, and I would save ~$80K in tuition.

There are two things you have to consider right now: the tuition, and the location. If you don't think you will be happy at either of these places, then don't go there.

BTW I would not mind paying a bit more to live comfortably.

Oh, oh God... oh God no.... you're out of your mind for even thinking of attending EVMS. Med school will be over in a flash, think about the decades beyond it.

Yea EVMS might be near a beach, but how much time out of the year is it actually enjoyable? probably may through august. It gets cold in the fall/winter in VA. Its colder by the water too.

I agree that 80k is not worth a view of the shore. Wait until you get your financial aid packages. May be the difference won't be as substantial after you get your awards.
