Technology iPhone as only internet source?

Anyone have the iPhone as only internet source, it's so expensive so i thought I'd just get the iphone and not pay for home internet.

Is there anyway to connect my laptop to the iphone for internet?

Considering your data allowance for a month is only 5 GB I don't see how one could use that as their only internet connection, unless all they did was check SDN and read e-mail.

If you want to tether AT&T is going to cap you at 5GB and charge you $25 on top of the data charges you already have starting soon.

Either way browsing on an iPhone all day would drive me nuts. Not to mention it won't display everything.
