Not pain related until you use the following link and take all of your PDF files and drop them on your iPhone or iPad.

http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=pdfadder

It lets you add any PDF to your device, but more importantly, it lets you create and edit categories on the Book reader included with OS4. I like it better than Stanza as it is built in.

I now have my entire article library on my phone. If only I could get it wired to my brain. Maybe the iPhone 5 will have that feature.

Check out Evernote for optical character recognition search on all your internet connected devices. Especially sweet iPhone and iPad apps.

Welcome to the past. Everyone else has been reading PDFs on non-iPhones for several years. Can an iPhone that can accept a microSD card be far behind? 😀

Android RULEZ!

I know you cannot read a little screen like that with those ancient eyes. There has been non-native software to put PDF's on the phone- like Stanza, but this is native to the OS. Yes, like Android.

Waiting on Gingerbread to be released to see if I am leaving iPhone for Android.

apple just patented a remote kill function for its iphones/ipads/itouches... sounds ominous...

i prefer android because i can actually run the business side of my practice from it... iphone is not geared that way, primarily because their safari webbrowser sucks...

gotta say i love my android HTC EVO...

no iphone for me... the iphone 4 even looks like an EVO. they made it all square like.

it is so late and i think that my decaf was NOT decaf...

iPhone users can't even get full bluetooth function. They are still stuck in the Apple iTunes sandbox for software and media. They can't sideload files unless they jailbreak their phones.

I am astonished at the amount of Android software there is (not pseudo-apps that are merely desktop internet links). The 1 GHz processors are amazing.

You can even cook your own specialized ROMs with Android. I spent Sunday afternoon rooting my Galaxy S and the sky's the limit.

Actually I'm near-sighted. I can read easily to within about 6-8 inches. OTOH, I can't read a street sign w/o glasses. I thought you were supposed to get presbyopic. However, it appears that Mom was right - you CAN ruin your eyes. This is probably the result of years sitting at the computer.

Tenesma- What business aspects do you use on your phone?
Just curious I am looking at getting a motorolla android phone and pretty excited about the possiblities. Is there anything particular you don't like about the android phones.

my EHR/Billing software is web-based.... safari sucks...
the only work around on Iphone is to get logmein.com app and then remote access everything thru your office computer...

OR

use android browser that is internet explorer compatible and use my EHR software....

that... and android allows my office to sync w/ my phone by updating my outlook calendar, so that if i am on the road my appointments/meetings/dental visits are all beautifully synced... try doing that with an iphone (argh)

i second the EVO

don't update your software to 2.2 (better battery life with 2.1 by a small bit and you can use your phone to give your computer free internet via usb tethering on 2.1 but banned on 2.2 without paying for it), but otherwise it is an amazing phone.

size matters, and the screen is awesome

plus steve jobs runs apple like a dictator and he reminds me of obama. and he bought his way up the liver transplant list.

outlook exchange server works fine for me on my iphone - outlook always synced, email synced and pushed, meeting invitations can be accepted/declined as well
