So, I'm thinking of getting a mobile computer for med school. Deciding between an iPod Touch vs. an Archos 43 IT. Comparison follows:
iPod Touch
Tons of apps, medical & otherwise
3.2" screen
capacitive touchscreen
960x640 pixels
iOS 4.0
$300
32GB of memory
Archos 43 IT
Lots of apps via Android Market
4.3" screen
resistive touchscreen
854x480 pixels
Android 2.2 (Froyo)
$250
16GB of memory
Processors seem to be roughly similar. One downfall of the Archos is that you need to quasi-hack it to get into the Android Market. It's made very easy, but yeah, it's not officially supported. Thoughts?
