Ireland Chances??

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Would appreciate feedback regarding my chances for 4 Year Irish Programs.
Stats:
3.4 GPA
MCAT: 32
Solid ECs

Thanks in advance.

Your GPA is a little low but a 32 MCAT is solid so I'd say there's a good chance you will get an interview at RCSI or Limerick and a mediocre chance of getting accepted to the schools that don't conduct interviews. Your 1 page admissions essay and references are also important so its hard to judge based on GPA and MCAT alone. Good Luck.

What are my chances if I have a 3.4 GPA and 23 MCAT, that is good section scores except for VR 🙁

Im not applying for medicine but I did apply for dentistry. I think you've got a good shot at it and RCSI will probably be your best bet. Only downfall, I see is that you didnt write the MCAT. Even though you applying for the 5 year, they might take someone with 1 or 2 years of undergrad. I think you should write your MCAT and see if you can still apply for the 4 year programs aswell.

Thanks for your reply. I need to take two more courses (orgo chem 2x semsters + physics 2x semester) to take the MCAT, but if I'm not accepted this time around, I'll take a year or two and re-apply. As a sophomore, I was taking physics, orgo chem but I ended up withdrawing from my classes at the end of the semester. I had my head in the clouds, I wanted to go travelling lol. But I was back weeks later for the next semseter, but there are those glaring X's on my transcript D:

I should add I have really awesome letters of recommendation. One from my neuroscience professor with whom I'm doing research, and the other from the unit director at New York Presbyterian who rated me very highly.

Well thats great! I think you've got a great shot at RCSI as long as you rocked your personal essay. I heard the essay plays a huge role.

I think I did, I have family in administration at a major NYC hospital, so I knew what they'd be looking for. It's 1.5 pages, concise and clear. Which dental schools are you applying to? I actually considered applying to veterinary schools for zoological pathogen research after
