Depends. Are you applying this cycle and, if so, when did you submit?
Ok then depending on your list, you should be ok. Keep in mind you are far from guaranteed an exception though. About 10% of people with your stats don't get in anywhere.Yup, I am applying this cycle and all applications will be complete within the next couple of days.
your primary or your secondary? if you are just now submitting your primary you are a little behind.Yup, I am applying this cycle and all applications will be complete within the next couple of days.
Sorry, primary is already verified and all; I am now just submitting my secondaries.your primary or your secondary? if you are just now submitting your primary you are a little behind.
Hi all,
I have a 3.9 GPA and 3.86 sGPA with a 37 MCAT. My EC's are decent, letters should be good, and research should be good (2 years of an independent project).
Currently working as an RN in an ICU of a level 1 trauma center/teaching hospital (started this year)
50 hours of ED volunteering
40+ hours of shadowing (continuing this currently)
Will begin volunteering at an animal shelter -- on average 3 hours per week
3 years of teaching/lab assistant (paid)
2 years of drop in tutoring/private tutoring (paid)
3 years in american chemical society student chapter (1 yr VP)
3 years in biology club
2 years pre-med society
1 year on a sports team (had to leave due to time commitment)
2 years + one full time summer of independent research; my own idea, received grant to work on it
MCAT scores released early august, secondaries will be complete within next few days.
I am applying to 15 MD schools as of now, 4 top 20, 6 ranked 20-40, 3 mid tier, and 3 "low tier"
Any opinions on whether this should be an adequate amount of schools or should I shoot for more? The only problem I will have is paying for secondaries/interviews.
Thanks for the input!
