I am wondering if 3.5 GPA is considered good enough for almost any DO school in the country? Is there any DO school have average GPA that is significantly higher than a 3.5? Just wondering.

gpa is just one part of the application... not all that matters. look at the CIB for 2012 and see where you are competitive at w/re to gpa and mcat, then supplement your app with DO friendly ECs

If we're exclusively speaking GPA, then I'd have to think yes. A 3.5 is "competitive" at nearly any osteopathic institution. A 3.5 is "competitive" at many, many US med schools regardless of degree granted.

Fortunately for me, GPA is just one piece of a very complex puzzle.

A while ago didn't somebody post a list that had schools with ~3.6 average?

It also depends on the # of credit hours and the level of courses you took.

The information is not complete on all schools but the majority of them have GPA/MCAT listed in the CIB

DMU is around a 3.65, but generally, yes, a 3.5 is competitive for all schools. Keep in mind, though, that 3.5 is just the average, so while you're competitive, it doesn't make you a shoe-in.

Anybody has a link to thread that has latest school average GPA and MCAT scores?

Here's the list of stats at schools I'm applying to. I know it's not ever school but hope it helps. Oh and this info is directly off their respective websites and the CIB.
