Is 3 MCATs per year a strict limit?

Is there no way to sit for a fourth mcat in a 12 month period?
its not 12 month period from the time you've written your mcat, for example if you wrote your mcat on Dec once, your limit gets reseted in Jan and you'll have 3 more chances after Jan to the next Jan

I thought I've seen otherwise, how positive are you of this?

So if I took it June 21, how many times can I take it before the new one is implemented?

I actually found that.

"Through" January 2015 means the entire month....meaning you don't get three mcats in 2014, then three more in january. Basically you get three shots at the old mcat before the new one is instituted....that's how im reading it.
its basically 3 attempts, from Jan 2014 to Jan 2015, if you're not too sure, you can always call them and ask

You get 3 shots each MCAT administration cycle. The cycle usually goes from January to September, but of course they changed it this year to accommodate the people who want to take the old MCAT. This years cycle is January to January, so you can only take the old MCAT 3 times this year, Jan 2014-Jan 2015. January exams are in the current cycle.
