Hi,
I will be nearly 51 when/if I start PTA school. Is it worth it at this age? Would I have a shot at a job? Would anyone hire someone that old who has no experience?
thanks

Assuming PTA means Physical Therapy Assistant (this being the Pre-Med Non-Trad forum after all) and given there are many here among us that don't believe in and/or accept the notion of an age limit with regard toe medical school, I don't see why you'd be too old for PTA.

As for getting hired, no one is going to overtly hire or not hire you on the basis of age. You might find yourself in a position where your salary expectations, based on salary history (depending on whatever your previous career is/was), aren't realistic. Expect entry-level money. Otherwise, if you're competitive, you're competitive. Age shouldn't be a factor.
