Is a May 14th MCAT date too late for this upcoming cycle ?

Everyone was basically told by our "great" pre-health advisers that a May 14th MCAT retake date would be bad and too late because the cycle starts on May 28th. Would it be smart to move that May 14th date up to May 1st just to get the applications in as soon as the cycle opens up ? I feel like our pre-health advisers are something else... not a lot of their statements have been accurate thus far. I'd assume that the reason they said it is too late is because you would want to prewrite secondarys and not knowing your mcat score could delay it somewhat since you don't know if you'll be competitive for certain schools

Nope. Even early Aug won't be late.
Thanks Goro! They were trying to push the people who are taking the MCAT on May to bring it back to April... That's some bad advising imo. Goro is it also true that in the med school app you compete with others in your school in general also ? Like for instance schools want to only take a certain amount of people from one school ?

You are only competing with yourself.
