Is a Medical Terminology course considered BCPM?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hard to judge based on a course name. In which department is it classified, by your school? What was the course content?

My knee-jerk reaction is no.

Department is "Biotechnology and Clinical Research"
course description: "Understanding medical terminology is fundamental for anyone working in the sciences. It is the language of the technician or researcher involved in biotechnology, biomedical investigations, or clinical research. Students learn the analysis and construction of medical words within a context of scientific concepts. After the basics, students learn the anatomy and diseases of the following systems: male and female reproductive, cardiovascular, respiratory, and blood."

I took a medical terminology class and did not categorize it as BCPM. AMCAS agreed.

A friend who is applying this cycle took that class. Said it didn't count.
