I know the courses are expensive but I am thinking of taking either a berkley review or a princeton review course. I have heard good about both. The berkley in particular I have heard is a great one because it contains a lot of information. Is the berkely books that you can buy from their website what they would offer in their actual course? I have read a thread of people who broke down a 3 month period for studying for the MCAT everyday so that you would not get burned out and would be well capable of preparing for the test. I am just not sure of it because I don't know how well the review courses would actually prepare you. The other thread uses books from all different companies not just one so I don't know if that would be more helpful or not.

I studied independently and did well. A review course isn't necessary in my opinion, by any means. However, if I lived in the area, even in retrospect, I probably would have taken the BR class. I have a lot of faith in the quality and motivation of their teachers

Review courses are necessary only if you can't keep a schedule yourself.

I agree with the necessary part. I do think that BR likely offers something beyond 'necessary' if my experience with BRT on this forum are any indication at all of their other teachers
