My undergrad degree is in a non-scientific area, do I need to major in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field to secure admission?

I'm a non-science major as well, major does not matter (unless you got it solely online... then that will most likely be a problem for manyyyy med schools).

To clarify, your major does not matter but you do need to complete prerequisite courses in biology, chemistry, physics, etc. You will be able to find this information on most medical school websites.

Nope. One of the smartest docs I have ever met got into HMS with a film studies degree.
Out of curiosity: was he connected, or else distinguished in his field? An Oscar-winning actor, perhaps, or something of that magnitude?
